Pinatex is a discontinued model, as it unfortunately does not meet our robustness requirements. Pinatex sandals are available as B-stock , meaning that exchanges and returns are NOT possible, as stated in our terms and conditions; furthermore, there are no warranty claims.
With a thickness of just under 3mm, the ingenious sandal is light, comfortable and ideal for everyday use, as a travel companion or emergency shoe.
The outsole is made of abrasion-resistant, recycled rubber with a puncture-resistant and slip-resistant tread. Its thermoplastic properties ensure that the sandal molds to your foot over time, becoming a perfect fit.
The surface is made of vegan Piñatex, which is in no way inferior to real leather:
Pinatex:It is a natural and sustainable material, made from pineapple leaf fibers. These are normally simply burned and are therefore actually a waste product that is being recycled in this way!
It is 100% vegan and biodegradable.
Pinatex is made of natural fibers and is not chemically sealed - therefore, abrasions may occur in the area of foot contact; this is not a reason for complaint.

We use paracord as shoelaces - this is a thin, lightweight kernmantle rope made of nylon with a minimum breaking strength of 249 kg (but our sandals aren't that heavy!) - which guarantees a long lifespan.Alternatively, you can opt for a hemp cord made from 100% natural hemp.

The ingenious sandal is quite wide. That's intentional!
This way you can trim them perfectly to your foot yourself. You can find the instructions here: Trimming
We recommend choosing a length 0.5–1 cm longer than your foot length. You can find the exact length measurements on the "Size Chart" page.
Should you require extra-wide sandals, or have any other individual requests, please feel free to write them in the comment field. A different size for the left and right foot is also possible!
ATTENTION: We cannot accept returns of sandals once they have been cut to size! Therefore, please be sure to test them thoroughly before cutting.
