ORGANIC LEATHER FROM BAVARIA
If you want leather, try this one!
In order to be able to process leather with a clear conscience, we only use regional and certified organic leather from the Allgäu, in Bavaria
It is tanned using vegetable and renewable tannins, neither chrome nor heavy metals are used.
The IVN is the most renowned international natural textile association.
Particular attention is paid to resource protection, low energy consumption, small amounts of waste and short transport routes.
Biokreis is committed to the constant further development of ecological and sustainable economic methods.
ECARF is the European Foundation for Allergy Research.
Problematic substances are avoided and the leather is recognized as allergy-friendly.

VEGAN LEATHER FROM AUSTRIA

We were looking for a long time for a vegan alternative that meets our robustness requirements.
Finally we have found it!
It is UV and salt water resistant and has outstanding abrasion resistance.
When we say a material can withstand just about anything, we mean our vegan leather.
Originally developed for the medical field, it not only complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 - Class 1, but is also a pioneer in biocompatibility, as well as free of harmful substances.

Biocompatibility according to DIN EN ISO 10993-5 + 1093-10
free from Phthalate/AZO/PCP/Cd/Pb/Sb/Cr(VI/Ni/As/Hg
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances and means that the material is safe for health.
RECYCLED RUBBER FROM GERMANY
Flexible, non-slip, thin, abrasion and puncture resistant. These are the features that our rubber soles have to ensure the maximum barefoot feeling.
The rubber we use, comes from a German manufacturer who uses 35% recycled parts for production.
A very special feature is the thermoplasticity: This means that the rubber adapts to your feet over time due to the body heat - so you will have perfect sandals just for you!

PARACORD, RePET AND HEMP CORD

Paracord and rePET cord
Because of its robustness and stability, we use paracord as laces. Paracord is a thin, light kernmantle rope made of nylon, which is very skin-friendly due to its smooth surface and has a very long service life.
We are currently switching to rePET cords. These have the same structure as paracord, but are made from 100% recycled PET bottles.
Hemp cord
consists of 100% natural hemp fibers and is therefore not only a purely natural product, but also much more robust and sustainable than cotton.
In contrast to cotton, hemp hardly uses any water, grows almost anywhere and is also very easy to grow. It is also much more robust and durable.
The surface is a bit rougher than Paracord, so it is more for the more robust feet among us.

WOODLEATHER - B-GRADE

Woodleather® is a fabric made from woodfiber. It is vegan, plastic-free, sustainable and biodegradable.
Unfortunately, it turned out that it's just not durable enough for our needs.
Woodleather is made of natural fibers and is not chemically sealed. As a result, individual fibers come loose over time due to friction. This very soon no longer looks nice and the color is lost over time.
The remaining stocks are given away as B-grade for a small price - while stocks last!
